Welcome to the 2023 LHSLL Season! News You Can Use Inside

We’re so happy to welcome all our players, coaches, fans, schools, and supporters to the 2023 Season.

Many programs have already taken part in a few preseason scrimmages, which has allowed them to get in meaningful reps before games begin in earnest this weekend.  League Year officially kicks off this Friday, February 17th when Division 1 newcomer Benton High School hosts Captain Shreve at Freedom Fields in Bossier City, LA.  Good luck to both squads!

Some things to note about the upcoming year.

  1. Division 1 has added Benton High School and now has 12 Teams

  2. Division 2 added Archbishop Rummell and St. Paul’s 2 as teams.  Catholic is not competing at that level anymore

  3. Division 2 will be using the same Power Ranking Playoff formula as Division 1.

Super 8 playoffs will be held the weekend of April 28th at St. Thomas More in Lafayette, LA.  We will be incorporating Division 2 Semi Finals into the fold that Friday night

Final Four weekend will be held in Baton Rouge May 5-7 at Catholic High.  The Bears have just completed a beautiful new complex and Dale Weiner Field will host this year’s Championship Weekend.

This week, we hope to have each team schedules put on their team page- this has already begun.  We’re also looking forward to releasing Preseason All-State and Preseason Power Rankings later this week.

The next 12 weeks will be filled with non stop action.  Please continue to follow along here for all updates along with our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook pages.

Thank you all for your continued support of the best lacrosse in Louisiana.
